Join our team as an Assistant Branch Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Celina, TX branch.> You will oversee the balancing of the ATM, vault, cash drawers, and recycler, ensuring that all established policies and procedures are followed meticulously. Your role includes providing a full range of services to our members and prospective members, guaranteeing prompt and professional service. You will act as a Loan Officer and Teller when necessary, actively cross-selling our Credit Union products and services, and handling difficult member situations with expertise. Regular communication with the Branch Manager about operations and staff issues is essential.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- 25% Cross-sell and process consumer loans, delivering them to underwriters for review.
- 20% Professionally handle customer inquiries, maintenance, loans, and transactions via calls. Resolve customer complaints promptly and identify cross-sell opportunities with all in-bound and out-bound calls.
- 10% Monitor branch personnel, allocate resources, and ensure timely balancing of vault/ATM/recycler/tellers/branch capture. Ensure all operations/lending work is accurate, complete, and compliant with Credit Union policies and procedures.
- 10% Process customer financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments. Sell money orders, cashier checks, and pre-paid cards, handle credit card advances, and balance vault, cash drawer, and daily transactions. Submit checks for electronic clearing.
- 20% Assist members with opening and closing accounts, answer questions about products and services, resolve problems within your authority, and refer those beyond your authority to the supervisor.
- 5% Monitor branch operating results, ensure corrective steps are taken after discussing with the supervisor.
- 5% Maintain communications with the main office, attend scheduled meetings and business development activities, and use shared schedules and calendars to keep others informed.
- 5% Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
- Deliver efficient and effective branch services in line with Credit Union policies and standards.
- Maintain or expand current member accounts, solicit new ones, and foster good business relationships with members by resolving their questions and problems promptly.
- Ensure branch personnel are well-trained, efficient, and coordinated in their activities.
- Accurately and effectively analyze and evaluate membership/credit applications and related financial data.
- Keep management informed of area activities and significant problems, providing suggestions for improved operational efficiency.
- Foster good working relationships with branch personnel and management, providing appropriate assistance to staff as needed.
- Ensure branch transactions, loan volumes, expenses, and profitability meet Credit Union standards.
Qualifications
Minimum of two years in a similar or related role with a focus on member service and lending.
